Called for a water leak in the front yard, approximately 2 feet from the water meter. An irrigation shutoff valve was located in the area. Excavation was required to expose the piping and fittings. Upon inspection, multiple joints were found to be broken and actively leaking. The damaged sections were removed and properly re-piped to restore service as quickly as possible. All repairs were secured to prevent future leaks. Once completed, the system was pressurized and tested for proper operation. No leaks were present at the time of testing. Call out to leak in front yard. Found meter box and irrigation valve box filled with water and grass soaked in surrounding area. Vacuumed out water to visualize the leak. Was unable to see an active leak. Meter does not appear to have any water flow causing a leak. Cause is likely overwatering from sprinklers/problem with irrigation. Advised to stop sprinklers for a day or two to see if the problem persists. No charge.
